DIMDI bleibt WHO-Kooperationszentrum
KÖLN. Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation hat das Deutsche Institut für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information als WHO-Kooperationszentrum für das System Internationaler Klassifikationen bestätigt.
Die Ernennung für weitere vier Jahre unterstreicht laut DIMDI die langjährige Kompetenz des Instituts. Erstmals wurde das DIMDI bereits 2003 zum WHO Collaborating Centre for the Family of International Classifications ernannt.
"Medizinische Begriffssysteme wie die Klassifikationen sind als Instrumente in der modernen Medizin unerlässlich. Erst sie ermöglichen einen standardisierten Datenaustausch", so Dr. Stefanie Weber, Leiterin des WHO-Kooperationszentrums und der Arbeitsgruppe Medizinische Begriffssysteme im DIMDI. (maw)
